What skin conditions can be treated with the IPL?
The IPL is used for the treatment of sun-damaged skin. The IPL laser treatment can be used for diffuse redness and pigmented lesions, such as hyperpigmentation, sunspots, and freckles.
The treatment of benign pigmented (brown) epidermal lesions, including dyschromia, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and ephelides (freckles), lentigines, nevi, melasma, and café-au-lait macules.
The treatment of benign cutaneous vascular (red) lesions, including port wine stains, hemangiomas, facial, truncal, and leg telangiectasias, rosacea, erythema of rosacea, angiomas and spider angiomas, poikiloderma of Civatte, and venous malformations.
How many IPL sessions will I need?
Depending on your condition and its level of severity, multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. On average, 1-3 treatments at 4-week intervals deliver great results. We will go over your procedure in detail and discuss if additional sessions may be necessary
